At his home in Dorset, Nia chats to author Richard Matthews about his searingly honest, uplifting and often incredibly funny memoir ‘No I Will’. This is the story of a remarkable family raising a special child, William, and the ways in which Will has changed the lives of those around him.
Richard on Fishing for the Truth
In the past year, since my book, ‘No I Will’, was published, I have been interviewed many times for radio and by newspapers and magazines. Without any doubt, the interview I enjoyed the most was with Nia Fisher for her YouTube channel ‘Fishing For The Truth’. Nia had not only read my book but was clearly very passionate about it. She was extremely professional but her relaxed style of questioning immediately put me at ease. An hour seemed to go by in the blink of an eye. Nia also took the time to involve my son, Will, who has special needs and who my book is about. She made him feel very important and her warm and engaging manner enabled her to get the very best out of him.
